Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service provider specializing in doorstep trash and recycling collection for apartment communities. With its commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming living environments, Valet Living has established itself as a trusted partner for property managers and residents alike. The company emphasizes convenience, reliability, and community-focused services, ensuring that routine waste removal is handled efficiently without requiring residents to leave their doorsteps. Valet Living's innovative approach combines hands-on community engagement with modern technology to streamline service operations and enhance resident satisfaction. As a growing enterprise, it offers flexible employment options, making it an ideal choice for individuals seeking part-time roles with consistent schedules and local assignments.
The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist (Service Valet) at Valet Living is designed for individuals looking for a dependable side job or extra income through evening part-time work close to home. This position involves servicing apartment communities by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents' doorsteps each service night, ensuring that refuse is cleared before morning. The job requires the use of personal transportation—specifically an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of towing a trailer—making it distinct from typical waste collection roles that may involve off-site dumping or bulk item pickup. Instead, this role focuses on local community service without the need for long-distance driving.
This part-time position offers a steady and predictable schedule, typically demanding 10 to 15 hours per week during evening shifts from Sunday to Thursday. The pay rate is attractive, especially for those with eligible vehicles, with truck drivers earning $21 per hour and non-truck drivers earning $19 per hour. Beyond the financial benefits, this role benefits candidates who enjoy working actively outdoors, engaging in physical activity like walking and stair climbing, and prefer to work independently. The job also leverages mobile technology to facilitate check-ins, service tracking, and communication, ensuring smooth operational workflows.
Valet Living supports its employees by providing safety gear such as gloves and vests and encourages career growth from within, with many leadership roles filled by former Service Valets. Moreover, employees enjoy the benefit of a local assignment tailored to their residence area, eliminating the strain of long commutes and offering a work-life balance that suits family, educational, and other commitments. This opportunity is an excellent choice for motivated individuals needing supplementary income, interested in consistent evening work, and dedicated to enhancing their local communities' cleanliness and appeal.
