Job Description
Valet Living is a prominent company specializing in providing high-quality doorstep trash collection and related services for apartment communities. Established as a trusted partner to property management teams, Valet Living plays an essential role in enhancing community cleanliness and convenience. By focusing on service excellence, the company helps apartment residents maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. Valet Living has established itself as a leader in its niche, known for a strong commitment to customer service and for offering work opportunities that cater to people looking for flexible schedules with meaningful local impact.
This job opening is for a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also referred to as a Service Valet. The role primarily involves servicing one or more nearby apartment communities on evening hours, ensuring ease of access and preventing long-distance driving or the need for off-site dumping. The position is ideal for individuals seeking supplemental income or a second job with consistent evening hours and the benefits of working close to home. The workweek typically runs from Sunday to Thursday during the late evening hours starting around 7:00 or 8:00 PM, allowing for a schedule that does not interfere with daytime commitments.
A distinctive requirement for this role is the need for the candidate to have their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer, which is necessary to perform the trash collection duties effectively. This enables efficient transport of collected bagged trash and cardboard recycling to onsite compactors without reliance on company vehicles. Candidates must be prepared to walk extensively, climb stairs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions, fostering an active work environment rather than a sedentary one.
The position offers a competitive pay rate of $23 per hour with steady and reliable weekly hours ranging from 10 to 15 or more. Additional benefits include fast pay through DailyPay, providing payment quickly for work completed. This makes it a lucrative option for individuals seeking an easy-to-manage night job that generates extra income while staying physically active and engaged within the local community.
Employees use a work-specific mobile app to check in, track their progress, and submit documentation through photos when necessary, ensuring seamless communication and accountability. The company emphasizes safety by providing gloves, safety vests, and other essential equipment. Moreover, effective candidates must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, be at least 18 years old, and possess a smartphone with a data plan to utilize the mobile app effectively.
Valet Living encourages a workplace culture rooted in diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. This role offers potential career growth, with approximately half of their area leader positions filled by internal promotions, indicating an environment supportive of advancement for dedicated employees. Referral bonuses are also provided, incentivizing employees to contribute to team building by recommending potential new hires.
In summary, this part-time evening position with Valet Living is perfect for motivated individuals looking for steady, local work that fits around other life commitments. With consistent hours, speedy payment, and an opportunity to stay active outdoors, it provides an excellent way to earn extra income while making a positive impact on apartment communities.
