Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company that specializes in doorstep trash collection and environmental upkeep for apartment communities. The company is committed to enhancing the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of residential environments by providing efficient, reliable valet trash services. Valet Living operates nationwide, focusing on sustainability and community well-being. They are well-known for employing people who are committed to service and for utilizing innovative technology, such as mobile apps, to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. The company’s priority is to maintain a pleasant living environment for apartment residents while providing meaningful employment opportunities with steady hours and competitive pay.
The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, is a part-time evening position that offers an excellent way to earn supplemental income with flexible hours. This position is ideal for individuals seeking steady evening work close to home, with no need for long-distance travel or off-site dumping. The primary responsibility involves collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents’ doorsteps in one or more nearby apartment communities and disposing of it properly on-site. This ensures that the premises remain clean and orderly by morning.
Candidates must have their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle equipped with a trailer to transport the trash and recycling materials. Work is primarily outdoors and active, requiring walking the property, climbing stairs, and handling waste materials safely. The schedule generally includes shifts from Sunday to Thursday starting in the evening hours, typically after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, and the job provides approximately 10 to 15 hours or more per week. Compensation includes a competitive truck pay rate of $21 per hour and a helper pay rate of $19 per hour. The company offers a fast hiring process, daily pay through DailyPay, and ensures assignments are close to the employee’s residence.
Valet Living emphasizes safety by providing gloves, safety vests, and other necessary equipment. The role also supports career growth opportunities, with about half of the Area Leader hires promoted internally. In addition, the company offers referral bonuses to encourage team expansion. Working as a Service Valet not only provides an opportunity for earning extra income but also encourages staying active, making it an excellent fit for those who prefer a physical job over a sedentary one.
This part-time position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working independently and following a consistent routine, whether as a second job to supplement income or a flexible night job compatible with school, family, or other employment commitments. Authorized to work in the U.S., having a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a smartphone with data plan to use the work app are must-haves for success in this role. Overall, this is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to local communities by maintaining their cleanliness and safety while enjoying a supportive work environment with steady pay and flexible scheduling.
