Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company dedicated to enhancing apartment communities by providing exceptional doorstep trash collection services. With a commitment to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and comfort, Valet Living has established itself as a reliable partner for apartment residents seeking convenient and efficient trash removal solutions. Specializing in service valet roles, the company fosters a positive, community-oriented work environment that values diversity and inclusivity. Valet Living is an equal opportunity employer that emphasizes fair treatment and growth opportunities for all employees, regardless of background or identity.
The position available is for part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also known as Service Valets, designed for individuals interested in steady evening hours and living close to the service locations. This role involves collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from apartment doorsteps and delivering these materials to on-site compactors, eliminating the need for long-distance driving or off-site dumping. The job offers a reliable work schedule with an emphasis on local neighborhoods, making it ideal for those seeking supplemental income or a second job.
Working as a Service Valet includes utilizing a personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle equipped with a trailer to transport trash and recyclables. The role requires physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Shift schedules typically run from Sunday to Thursday, beginning after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, with opportunities to work approximately 10 to 15 hours weekly. The company provides efficient digital tools through a mobile app that helps workers check in, track their progress, and submit necessary photographic documentation.
Compensation for this role is competitive within the part-time service industry, offering $23 per hour for individuals using their personal truck and $20 per hour for helpers. Additional benefits include fast payment through DailyPay, steady and reliable scheduling, and assignments close to the employee's residence. The hiring process is designed to be swift, enabling new employees to begin work quickly. Valet Living supports a strong safety culture by providing necessary safety equipment such as gloves and vests to ensure employee protection during service.
This role appeals to individuals who enjoy staying physically active, appreciate flexible evening work schedules that accommodate other commitments like school or a full-time job, and seek potential career advancement through internal promotion opportunities. It also encourages a community-focused mindset by offering referral bonuses for bringing new team members onboard. Overall, the Service Valet position at Valet Living offers a unique blend of independence, steady income, and personal interaction within local neighborhoods, making it an excellent opportunity for dedicated, hardworking individuals aiming to contribute positively to their communities while maintaining flexible part-time employment.
