Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service company specializing in providing doorstep trash collection and maintenance services to apartment communities across the United States. With a focus on creating clean, safe, and comfortable living environments, Valet Living partners with property management companies to deliver convenient trash and recycling solutions directly to residents' doorsteps. This commitment to exceptional service helps enhance the overall living experience for thousands of residents, while supporting sustainability through responsible waste management practices.
The company has established itself as a reliable employer offering flexible, part-time jobs ideal for individuals seeking supplemental income with steady evening hours. The culture at Valet Living emphasizes safety, teamwork, career growth, and community engagement. The team-oriented environment fosters opportunities for advancement, as evidenced by a significant percentage of leadership roles being filled internally. Valet Living also prioritizes fast and fair pay, utilizing modern technology such as a mobile app for employee convenience and efficient operational management.
This particular opportunity is for the position of Part-Time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also called Service Valet. The role is designed for individuals who own an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer, as these are necessary to transport collected trash and cardboard recycling to on-site compactors. This position involves servicing one or more nearby apartment communities during evening shifts that typically run Sunday through Thursday, starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM. The job requires no long-distance driving, off-site dumping, or handling of bulk items, making it manageable and focused strictly on doorstep trash collection within a local area.
As a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, your core responsibility will be to collect bagged trash and cardboard from apartment residents' doorsteps each evening, ensuring these waste materials are properly disposed of by morning. This service helps maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of apartment properties, directly contributing to resident satisfaction and the overall community atmosphere. The job is active and physically engaging, involving walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors under various weather conditions.
Working with Valet Living offers numerous benefits including steady and reliable evening work with 10 to 15+ hours per week, no weekend shifts, fast pay through DailyPay, and the advantage of working close to your home community. The role suits those looking for a second job or supplemental income to complement other commitments such as school or family obligations. Valet Living provides safety equipment such as gloves and vests to ensure a secure working environment and promotes a culture of safety-first practices.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and use a smartphone with a data plan to access the company’s mobile app. This app facilitates efficient job tracking, check-ins, and documentation with photos as needed. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace, encouraging applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
