Job Description

Valet Living is a reputable service provider specializing in enhancing the cleanliness and comfort of apartment communities through dedicated doorstep trash and recycling collection services. With a commitment to creating safe and inviting living environments, Valet Living serves numerous residential communities by providing efficient waste management solutions that help maintain the aesthetic and hygienic standards essential for resident satisfaction. The company emphasizes a strong community-oriented approach by employing specialists who work locally, ensuring minimal disruption and fostering positive neighborhood relationships. This role is part-time and offers the advantage of steady evening work close to home, providing a perfect opportunity for individuals seeking supplemental income with consistent schedules. The pay rate is competitive at $20 per hour, and there are no weekend requirements, making it ideal for those balancing other commitments such as a primary job, school, or family responsibilities.

The position of Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as Service Valet, is a vital role responsible for servicing one or more apartment communities within a local area without the need for long-distance driving or off-site waste disposal. This role requires the use of a personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle equipped with a trailer to efficiently collect and transport bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from apartment doorsteps to on-site compactors. Specialists perform their duties in the evenings, typically from Sunday through Thursday, starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, with shifts totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week. Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness by ensuring that trash and recycling are removed by morning, walking extensively around the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

This role offers more than just a paycheck; it promotes an active lifestyle by providing an opportunity to stay physically engaged throughout the shift rather than remaining sedentary. It also supports work-life balance with flexible evening hours and the convenience of working in a community near the specialist’s residence. Equipped with a mobile app, specialists can easily check in, track their tasks, and document work progress with photos, enhancing job efficiency and communication. Valet Living prioritizes a safety-first culture by supplying necessary protective equipment such as gloves and safety vests, ensuring employees can perform their duties securely. Overall, this part-time role is ideally suited for individuals looking to develop their career within a growing company, as internal promotions account for a significant number of leadership opportunities. Additionally, employees can benefit from referral bonuses that encourage team growth and cohesion. Valet Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer, fostering diversity and inclusion by recruiting and advancing employees without discrimination on any protected basis.
