Job Description
Valet Living is a dynamic property services company specializing in doorstep trash collection and other community maintenance solutions aimed at enhancing the living experience in apartment complexes and multi-family communities across the United States. The company’s mission revolves around providing reliable, efficient, and eco-friendly services that help apartment residents enjoy cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environments. Valet Living prides itself on its community focus, trustworthy team of service professionals, and commitment to customer satisfaction. As a well-established employer dedicated to workplace diversity and inclusion, Valet Living offers a flexible, part-time opportunity designed to accommodate individuals seeking steady supplementary income close to home, particularly in the evenings and on weekends. This role supports community cleanliness and convenience, fostering a stronger connection between residents and their living spaces.
The part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, is an essential role that directly contributes to the cleanliness and upkeep of apartment communities. This position involves servicing apartment doorsteps by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling, ensuring that all waste is removed before the morning to maintain a neat and welcoming appearance. The opportunity is ideal for candidates looking for consistent evening work, typically scheduled for weekend nights, with shifts running generally between 7 or 8 PM and offering approximately 9-12 hours per week. Service Valets are assigned to local communities near their homes, eliminating extensive travel and providing a convenient work-life balance. Compensation rates are competitive, with a standard hourly rate of $21 for non-truck roles and $23 for those who use their own truck or vehicle with a trailer.
The day-to-day activities of a Service Valet are active and varied, including walking through apartment complexes, climbing stairs, and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions. The role emphasizes physical activity and independence, allowing individuals to maintain a consistent routine while staying engaged and productive. The use of a mobile app facilitates check-in processes, tracking of work progress, and necessary communication, streamlining the operational side of the job. Service Valets do not handle bulk items, off-site dumping, or lengthy driving routes, focusing solely on doorstep collection tasks.
Valet Living values its Service Valets by providing essential safety equipment such as gloves and vests, ensuring a secure working environment. The company also promotes internal career growth, with many Area Leaders having advanced from Service Valet roles, demonstrating a clear pathway to professional development. Additional perks include referral bonuses for recommending new team members and the benefit of fast payment through DailyPay. This position is particularly suited for individuals who want to supplement their income, maintain an active lifestyle, and contribute positively to local communities.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the U.S., and possess a smartphone with a data plan to manage work communications and app-based check-ins. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred, especially for those opting for the higher truck pay rate. Physical fitness is crucial since the job requires lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating multiple flights of stairs. Candidates must be capable of working outdoors and handling bagged waste safely.
Service Valet is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to make an impact in your local community while earning reliable extra income with a flexible schedule. Whether you’re looking for a second job, supplemental earnings, or a stepping stone to career growth, this role offers a unique blend of independence, physical activity, and community service. Valet Living’s commitment to equal employment opportunity ensures a diverse and inclusive workplace where every team member is respected and valued, regardless of background or personal identity.
