Job Description

Valet Living is a reputable company dedicated to enhancing the living experiences within apartment communities across the United States. Specializing in doorstep trash collection and other residential services, Valet Living aims to create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environments for residents. As a pioneering service provider in the multi-family industry, Valet Living leverages trusted routines and innovative techniques to help property managers maintain the beauty and comfort of their communities efficiently.

They focus on community cleanliness and safety by employing Service Valets who provide doorstep trash collection services. This particular role is designed to offer consistent evening work that is close to home, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking reliable extra income or a second job with a steady schedule. Valet Living values flexibility and local engagement, ensuring no long-distance driving or off-site dumping is necessary. Instead, Service Valets work in assigned apartment communities within their local area using their own vehicles.

The position of Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist involves collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents’ doorsteps and transporting it to on-site compactors. This essential service helps keep apartment complexes neat by the following morning. The role requires the use of either an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer capable of transporting collected waste. Notably, tasks do not involve bulk item collection or any long-distance hauling, focusing instead on maintaining a regular route within the community.

Compensation for this role is competitive, with a pay rate of $20 per hour for those using open-bed pickup trucks and $18 per hour for non-truck vehicle operators who utilize a trailer. The work schedule is predominantly evening-based from Sunday to Thursday, starting after 7 or 8 PM, typically offering between 10 to 15 hours of work per week. This creates an opportunity for individuals balancing other commitments such as full-time jobs, schooling, or family responsibilities.

Valet Living provides a seamless technology-driven experience through its mobile app, which Service Valets use for check-ins, tracking work, and capturing photos as needed. This digital integration simplifies communication and job management, enhancing overall efficiency. The company promotes a safety-first culture by providing gloves, safety vests, and the necessary equipment to ensure the well-being of their employees.

Service Valets often appreciate the physical activity involved in the role, as it requires walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. This role not only offers income but also an active lifestyle as part of the job. Career advancement opportunities also exist within Valet Living, with many Area Leaders having been promoted from Service Valet positions, reflecting the company’s commitment to internal growth.

Valet Living takes pride in being an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in the workplace. They maintain a hiring process that is quick and straightforward, enabling successful candidates to start promptly. Benefits include the convenience of steady work with fast pay options like DailyPay, referral bonuses for recommending new team members, and consistent support throughout employment.

Overall, the Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist position at Valet Living is a compelling job opportunity for those seeking reliable, consistent part-time work with a focus on local community involvement, active work, and steady earnings. The role combines technology, physical activity, and community service into a fulfilling job that supports apartment residents’ quality of life while offering employees meaningful supplemental income.
