Job Description

Valet Living is a leading service company dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in apartment communities by providing reliable and professional doorstep trash and recycling collection services. Founded with a commitment to creating cleaner, safer, and more welcoming living environments, Valet Living serves thousands of apartment complexes across the United States. The company prides itself on its reputation for dependability, customer service, and a positive work culture that supports employee growth and well-being. Valet Living has established itself as a trusted partner in property management by delivering consistent service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. They specialize in offering convenient and efficient doorstep trash collection, ensuring residents enjoy a clutter-free and pleasant community atmosphere.

Valet Living is currently hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also known as Service Valets, to join their teams in helping maintain these apartment communities. This role is perfect for individuals seeking dependable supplemental income, a flexible second job, or consistent evening work close to their homes. As a Service Valet, you will be responsible for collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps each service evening and transporting it to the community's on-site compactor. The work is localized, meaning you will service one or more apartment communities in your immediate area, eliminating the need for long-distance driving. This position requires physical activity such as walking considerable distances, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, offering an active and health-conscious alternative to typical desk jobs.

The role comes with competitive pay rates, set at $16 per hour for non-truck operators and $19 per hour for those who use a truck. The schedule is designed around consistent evening hours, typically providing between 10 to 15 or more hours a week, Sunday through Thursday, with shifts starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM. This schedule offers valuable flexibility for students, second-job seekers, or anyone looking to maintain a healthy work-life balance without weekend commitments.

Service Valets benefit from a supportive and fast-paced hiring process that enables quick employment starts. They also enjoy the convenience of using a mobile app that tracks work progress, allows check-ins, and facilitates communication with management. The company emphasizes safety by providing necessary equipment such as gloves and safety vests and promotes career advancement opportunities, with many upper-level managers having started in this entry-level role. Additionally, Valet Living offers referral bonuses, which reward employees for encouraging friends and family to join the team.

In the role, reliability, independence, and attention to detail are valued traits. Employees need to be comfortable working independently while following a consistent routine. Having a smartphone with a data plan is essential for using the company’s work app and receiving timely job-related communications. The position also prefers candidates with reliable transportation, ideally an open-bed pickup truck or vehicle equipped with a trailer, along with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. This combination of physical engagement, flexible hours, competitive pay, and supportive management makes the Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist role an excellent opportunity for supplemental income and personal growth within a stable and respected organization.
