Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service provider specializing in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming apartment communities through reliable trash and recycling collection. Established with the mission of enhancing residents' living experiences, Valet Living operates as a dedicated service company focused on localized doorstep trash collection. The company prides itself on fostering strong community relationships by offering consistent and high-quality service that supports the upkeep of multi-family housing complexes. With a commitment to employee support and career growth, Valet Living is recognized for its steady work schedules and supportive work environment tailored for part-time professionals seeking extra income with flexible and predictable evening hours.
The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, involves providing essential evening services to apartment residents by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling right from their doorsteps. This ensures that waste is efficiently removed before morning, helping to maintain the cleanliness and appeal of the communities served. This position is ideal for individuals looking for steady, part-time work close to home without the hassle of long-distance driving or off-site dumping. Service Valets are assigned to local apartment communities, minimizing travel and promoting a consistent routine.
Participants in this role must have their own suitable vehicle—a pickup truck with an open bed or a vehicle capable of towing a trailer paired with an open utility trailer—both necessary for transporting collected waste to on-site compactors. The nature of the work demands physical activity, including walking extensive distances, climbing stairs, and working outdoors under varying weather conditions. Valet Living supports its employees by providing a mobile app for efficient work management, including check-ins and work tracking, making the job technologically accessible and straightforward.
The pay structure is competitive and designed to reward vehicle capability: $20 per hour for those using a pickup truck and $18 per hour for those using a vehicle with a trailer. The schedule typically comprises 10-15+ hours during weeknights from Sunday to Thursday, starting after 7 or 8 PM, thus ensuring no weekend work and ample time for personal commitments. Additional benefits include fast payment options through DailyPay, a friendly and fast hiring process, and opportunities for supplemental earnings, making this role an excellent option for a second job or steady extra income.
Valet Living values safety and professional growth, offering its Service Valets gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment, as well as referral bonuses to encourage team expansion. The company proudly promotes from within, with many Area Leaders starting their careers as Service Valets, creating an encouraging environment for career advancement. By choosing this role, individuals engage in meaningful work that contributes positively to their communities while enjoying a steady and flexible schedule that supports their lifestyle needs. Valet Living is committed to diversity and equal opportunity, ensuring an inclusive workplace free of discrimination and full of mutual respect.
