Job Description
Valet Living is a prominent service provider dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and welcoming atmosphere of apartment communities across the United States. With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional doorstep trash collection services, Valet Living has carved a niche in the property management industry by providing reliable and professional service valets suited for part-time schedules. As a company, Valet Living values its diverse workforce and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, focusing on recruiting, training, and promoting talent regardless of race, religion, gender, or other protected statuses. The firm strives to cultivate a positive work environment where employees are empowered to grow and succeed. Currently, Valet Living offers part-time evening positions for Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also known as Service Valets, who help keep apartment communities clean by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps every service night.
This role is designed for individuals seeking steady, reliable extra income with a consistent evening schedule close to their homes. Service Valets work primarily within local apartment communities, eliminating long-distance driving and off-site dumping. Instead, these specialists use their own open-bed pickup trucks or tow vehicles equipped with utility trailers to collect doorstep waste materials and transport them to on-site compactors. The position typically requires working Sunday through Thursday evenings starting at 7:00 or 8:00 PM, with shifts usually lasting 10 to 15 hours per week. The job offers competitive pay rates of $20 per hour for those using trucks and $17 per hour for those with tow vehicles. Employees are paid quickly through DailyPay, making this an excellent opportunity for a second job or supplemental income.
The service valet role demands a proactive and physically active approach to work. Valets walk throughout multiple apartment communities, including climbing stairs and handling waste in various weather conditions. They utilize a mobile app for checking in, tracking tasks, and verifying job completion with photos. This position offers a unique blend of outdoor activity, community impact, and flexible scheduling to fit alongside other commitments such as full-time jobs, school, or family responsibilities.
Candidates must meet specific vehicle requirements, including owning an open-bed pickup truck or having a vehicle capable of towing a trailer paired with an open utility trailer. This ensures efficient and consistent trash collection without the need for bulky equipment. The position is open to individuals 18 years or older with a valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and authorization to work in the United States. A smartphone with a data plan is necessary to engage with the company's work app and receive timely communications throughout employment.
Valet Living encourages growth from within, providing pathways for career advancement. Many of their current Area Leaders started as Service Valets, reflecting the company’s commitment to talent development. Additional benefits include referral bonuses, safety equipment provided such as gloves and safety vests, and the satisfaction of making a tangible difference in apartment living environments every evening. Applying for this role is straightforward with a fast hiring process, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Overall, this position suits individuals who want a steady, physically active job with local routes, consistent nights, and quick pay, all while supporting community cleanliness and livability.
