Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service provider specializing in doorstep trash collection for apartment communities, ensuring these residential environments remain clean, safe, and comfortable for the residents who live there. As a company committed to quality and community-centered services, Valet Living has established itself as a leader in providing efficient and reliable waste management solutions. The company emphasizes convenience for both residents and service employees by minimizing travel distance and logistical complications, making it an attractive employer for individuals seeking work that is steady, local, and flexible.
This part-time role of Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as Service Valet, is ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income with consistent evening hours in their local area. The position requires a personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling right from apartment doorsteps and transport the waste to on-site compactors. Importantly, the work is confined to nearby apartment communities, so there is no long-distance driving or off-site dumping involved. This feature ensures minimal travel time and enhances the focus on service quality and community impact.
The working schedule primarily covers Sunday to Thursday evenings, starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, with no weekend shifts, making it a great choice for individuals needing a second job that won’t interfere with daytime commitments such as full-time employment, school, or family responsibilities. Typically, the role involves between 10 to 15 or more hours weekly, offering flexibility and steady pay. Valet Living provides a competitive hourly rate of $18 for those using their own truck, while non-truck service valets earn $16 per hour. The company also supports fast payment through DailyPay, ensuring employees have quick access to their earnings.
The position includes physical activity such as walking long distances, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, making it suitable for people who want to stay active rather than sitting at a desk. Service valets use a mobile app to check in, track their tasks, and upload photos when necessary, which facilitates smooth communication and documentation. Additionally, employees receive safety equipment such as gloves and safety vests, underscoring the company’s commitment to their wellbeing.
Valet Living’s internal promotion strategy has seen 50 percent of area leader hires come from current employees, reflecting the opportunities for career growth within the company. Furthermore, referral bonuses are offered to encourage team expansion, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. Overall, this role is an excellent opportunity for dependable, self-motivated individuals who prefer a neighborhood-based, part-time evening job with steady income, quick pay, and benefits like flexible scheduling and career advancement potential.
