Job Description

Valet Living is a reputable service company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities by providing specialized doorstep trash and recycling collection services. Focused on offering local, reliable, and convenient solutions, Valet Living operates primarily in residential apartment settings, emphasizing safety, cleanliness, and sustainability. As a well-established company in property services, Valet Living is committed to fostering community well-being by ensuring that residents enjoy a clean, comfortable, and hassle-free environment without the burden of managing their trash and recyclables themselves.

Currently, Valet Living is looking to hire part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, known as Service Valets, who will play a crucial role in upholding the cleanliness and safety of local apartment communities. This part-time evening position offers steady hours typically ranging from 10 to 15+ hours per week, with shifts scheduled Sunday through Thursday, starting after 7:00-8:00 PM. Notably, there are no weekend shifts required, making this an ideal role for individuals seeking supplementary income or a second job with consistent scheduling that allows for flexibility.

The essential job function centers on collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from apartment residents’ doorsteps and transporting these materials to on-site compactors. This role requires the use of the candidate’s own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle equipped with a trailer, allowing Service Valets to efficiently complete their routes within their local area without the need for long-distance travel or off-site dumping. This focus on local neighborhoods enhances work-life balance by eliminating lengthy commutes and providing proximity to home.

Candidates will utilize a mobile app throughout their shifts to check in, track progress, and document their work with photos when necessary. This technological aspect ensures accurate reporting and simplifies task management. The nature of the job is active, with responsibilities including walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, so physical stamina and health are important for success in this position.

The compensation for this role includes a competitive truck pay rate of $20 per hour or $19 per hour for non-truck service valets. Employees benefit from fast pay options through DailyPay, ensuring that their earnings are quickly accessible. Additional benefits include a fast hiring process, assigned routes close to home, and the opportunity to earn extra income through referral bonuses. Valet Living supports employees by providing safety equipment such as gloves and safety vests, reinforcing its commitment to workplace safety.

Valet Living values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. The company fosters an inclusive environment by recruiting, employing, training, compensating, and promoting individuals without discrimination based on race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. This commitment ensures that all employees feel welcomed, respected, and valued.

Overall, this Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist role offers a unique chance for individuals seeking secondary employment or flexible evening work with consistent pay, local routes, and a supportive company culture. Staying active on the job and contributing to the cleanliness and safety of apartment communities also makes this role fulfilling for candidates who prefer not to be desk-bound and appreciate physical work that directly benefits others.
