Job Description

Valet Living is a reputable service company specializing in residential property maintenance, particularly focusing on trash and recycling collection for apartment communities. Established to enhance the cleanliness and comfort of living spaces, Valet Living is known for its commitment to quality service, community well-being, and employee satisfaction. The company prides itself on employing individuals who are dedicated, dependable, and eager to contribute to a cleaner environment. Their operational approach prioritizes local service, ensuring employees work within their own neighborhoods to minimize commute and maximize community impact. As a leading provider of doorstep trash collection services, Valet Living employs innovative tools such as mobile applications to streamline operations and enhance employee engagement.

This role is for a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, commonly referred to as a Service Valet, who will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of one or more nearby apartment communities during evening hours. This position is ideally suited for individuals seeking a second job or supplemental income, offering steady, consistent evening hours without the need for weekend work. Employees in this role use their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling conveniently from residents’ doorsteps, then transport it to the on-site compactor. The responsibility includes servicing nearby apartment complexes within the same local area, ensuring there is no long-distance driving or off-site dumping involved.

The job offers a competitive hourly wage—$20 per hour for truck owners and $17 per hour for helpers. Workers typically engage 10 to 15 hours or more per week, with work schedules primarily from Sunday to Thursday evenings starting between 7:00 and 8:00 PM. Utilizing a mobile app, employees can efficiently check in, track their work, and provide photographic evidence when necessary, supporting accountability and communication. This role promotes physical activity as it requires walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. It is excellent for those who want to stay active rather than remain sedentary at a desk.

Valet Living emphasizes safety by providing necessary equipment such as gloves and safety vests, ensuring each employee can perform their duties securely. Additionally, the company promotes career advancement, with half of the area leadership roles filled through internal promotion, and encourages referrals by offering bonuses to employees who help expand the team. The hiring process is streamlined for fast onboarding, making it possible to start earning quickly after applying. Overall, this role combines steady income, flexibility, local community involvement, and opportunities for growth, making it an attractive employment option for many.
