Job Description
Valet Living is a leading provider of amenity services for residential communities, dedicated to enhancing the living experience of apartment residents through exceptional on-site solutions. With a strong presence across numerous locations, Valet Living focuses on delivering personalized, reliable, and community-centered services that contribute to the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of apartment complexes. As a company committed to operational excellence and superior customer service, Valet Living offers part-time job opportunities that fit well with flexible schedules, ideal for individuals seeking supplemental income without long commutes or off-site responsibilities.
The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also referred to as a Service Valet, is essential in maintaining the tidiness and sanitation of apartment communities during evening hours. This position is perfect for candidates who have their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer and prefer steady, local work close to home. By ensuring that bagged trash and cardboard recycling are collected directly from residents' doorsteps and disposed of properly on-site, the Service Valet helps create a better living environment for all community members.
This part-time, evening-focused position typically requires 10 to 15+ hours per week, generally Sunday through Thursday, starting between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The role does not require weekend work, long-distance travel, or off-site dumping, making it highly convenient for those seeking manageable hours that complement existing commitments such as a full-time job, school, or family responsibilities. Employees benefit from steady and consistent pay, with hourly rates of $18 for truck operators and $16 for helpers, along with a fast pay system through DailyPay, ensuring prompt access to earnings.
The responsibilities include actively walking the property, carrying trash bags and cardboard to the on-site compactor, and utilizing a mobile app for tracking work progress and completing necessary documentation. Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are integral components of the job, as well as adherence to a safe and professional work routine. Valet Living places great emphasis on safety by providing gloves, safety vests, and other necessary equipment to protect its employees.
Beyond the practical aspects, this role offers unique benefits such as active work that keeps you moving rather than sitting stationary, flexible scheduling that easily fits around other life commitments, and opportunities for career advancement through internal promotions, with half of their Area Leader hires coming from within the company. The team environment encourages referrals, rewarding employees who bring in new team members. Valet Living values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusive hiring practices.
Overall, the Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist position at Valet Living is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a dependable, part-time evening job with local assignments, competitive pay, and the flexibility to maintain a balanced lifestyle while contributing positively to their community's wellbeing.
