Job Description
Valet Living is a premier provider of doorstep trash collection services dedicated to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and comfort within apartment communities. As a company, Valet Living specializes in delivering exceptional, localized service that directly impacts the daily lives of residents by removing their bagged trash and cardboard recycling right from their doorsteps. Known for its focus on quality and customer satisfaction, Valet Living operates within a model that emphasizes proximity and convenience, avoiding long-distance travel and off-site dumping to ensure a more sustainable and community-oriented approach. Valet Living prides itself on a work environment that supports its employees with steady schedules, reliable pay, and opportunities for advancement, contributing to its reputation as a desirable employer in the community services sector.
This role, titled Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist or Service Valet, is ideal for individuals seeking part-time evening work close to home. The position primarily involves servicing one or more apartment communities situated nearby, meaning no long-distance driving away from the local area or the hassle of transporting waste to distant sites. The hours are typically 10 to 15 or more per week on weeknights, usually Sunday through Thursday with shifts starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, providing an excellent option for those balancing other commitments such as a full-time job, school, or family responsibilities.
Candidates for this role must have access to their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle equipped with a trailer, as this is essential for performing the job functions safely and efficiently. The specialist will collect trash and recycling directly from residents' doorsteps and transport it to the on-site compactor, ensuring the community spaces remain clean and inviting each morning. This active role involves walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors, which allows individuals to stay physically engaged and avoid sedentary work environments.
Utilizing a mobile app, Service Valets can check in, track their progress, and document their work with photos when necessary, incorporating technology for operational efficiency and accountability. The position offers a competitive hourly wage — $20 per hour for truck drivers and $18 per hour for helpers — alongside benefits such as consistent pay through DailyPay, no weekend shifts, and immediate start opportunities.
Valet Living is committed to creating safe working conditions, providing gloves, safety vests, and essential equipment to ensure that employees can perform their duties with confidence and security. Most importantly, the company values diversity and inclusivity, making it an equal opportunity employer where candidates from all backgrounds are welcome to apply. In summary, this part-time evening role blends steady earnings, a flexible schedule, and physical activity in a convenient local setting, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking supplemental income without sacrificing time for personal responsibilities or commuting hassles.
