Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and convenience. Founded with a commitment to quality and reliability, Valet Living specializes in providing doorstep trash and recycling collection services, aiming to support community well-being through efficient waste management. Operating across various locations, the company focuses on delivering consistent and dependable service by employing a team of dedicated Service Valets who work closely with residents and property management teams to keep neighborhoods pristine. Valet Living values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities and fostering a supportive working environment for employees from all backgrounds. The organization is widely recognized for its commitment to employee safety, community engagement, and career advancement opportunities within the property services sector.
This role is a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist (Service Valet) position, an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking steady evening hours with a flexible schedule, ideally suited for those looking for a second job or supplemental income close to home. The position requires candidates to use their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents' doorsteps within apartment communities. The work is local, with no long-distance driving or off-site dumping required, focusing on service within nearby apartment complexes that create a strong sense of community. The hourly pay rate is $20.50, with typical shifts from Sunday through Thursday, beginning between 7:00 and 8:00 PM, offering 10 to 15 or more hours per week.
As a Service Valet, you will play an essential role in supporting apartment residents by ensuring that their trash and recycling are collected and properly disposed of before morning. The job involves active physical work, such as walking through the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions. You will be responsible for using a mobile app to check in, track tasks, and take photos as proof of service, ensuring transparency and accountability. Valet Living prioritizes safety and provides necessary equipment including gloves and safety vests. This role also encourages career growth, with the opportunity for internal promotions, as evidenced by half of the Area Leader hires coming from current employees. Additional benefits include referral bonuses, fast daily pay through DailyPay, and the convenience of being assigned to communities near your residence, reducing commute times and making it easier to balance work with other commitments.
