Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service company dedicated to enhancing the living experience of apartment communities across the United States. With a strong focus on cleanliness, safety, and convenience, Valet Living provides services that improve daily life for residents and property managers alike. Known for its supportive work environment and commitment to employee growth, Valet Living offers flexible, part-time roles that accommodate a variety of schedules and lifestyles. The company values diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected characteristics.
The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, is a vital part of Valet Living's mission to maintain clean and comfortable living spaces. This part-time evening position involves servicing one or more nearby apartment communities late at night to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps. To perform this job, candidates must have their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer. The job offers the benefit of no long-distance driving or off-site dumping, allowing employees to serve local communities close to their homes. This makes it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking steady evening work without the stress of long commutes or heavy logistical tasks.
In this role, you will be responsible for daily collection rounds during the typical service window of Sunday through Thursday, starting after 7:00-8:00 PM. You will walk the property, climb stairs, and work outdoors, staying active as you help keep apartment communities neat and safe for their residents. You will use a mobile app to track your progress, check in at locations, and document your work. This part-time position generally offers 10 to 15 or more hours of work per week, allowing employees to balance it easily with other full-time jobs, school, or family commitments.
Compensation is competitive with a truck pay rate of $18 per hour, alongside several perks such as fast pay through DailyPay, consistent and reliable scheduling, and local job assignments to minimize travel time. The company also promotes internal career growth, with half of their area leader roles filled by internal candidates. Additional benefits include referral bonuses and provision of safety equipment like gloves and vests. This job is an excellent fit for individuals looking for supplementary income, a flexible evening schedule, and a role that encourages physical activity rather than sitting behind a desk. If you are motivated, responsible, and equipped with a suitable vehicle, this position offers a straightforward yet important way to contribute to your community's wellbeing while earning extra income.
