Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities by providing specialized doorstep trash collection services. They focus on maintaining cleanliness, safety, and comfort for residents by handling trash removal in a convenient and efficient manner. With a commitment to quality and community care, Valet Living operates primarily in residential environments, ensuring that the lifestyle of residents remains uninterrupted and enjoyable through their service offerings.
This part-time position is tailored for individuals seeking steady evening work close to home, with a focus on serving one or more nearby apartment communities. The role, titled Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist (Service Valet), involves collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps and delivering these to on-site compactors. This means no long-distance driving or off-site dumping is involved, providing a local, manageable workload. The employment type is part-time evening shifts, typically 10-15+ hours per week, with no weekend hours required, primarily running Sunday through Thursday from after 7:00-8:00 PM. The pay rate is competitive at $17 per hour, and the role is especially appealing as a supplemental income source or a second job.
The role is crucial to the upkeep of apartment communities, helping to ensure resident satisfaction through timely and reliable waste removal service. Individuals in this role get to stay active, working outdoors through various weather conditions, walking the property, climbing stairs, and using an easy-to-navigate mobile app to manage their responsibilities. Valet Living provides a fast hiring process and equipment such as gloves and safety vests to ensure safety on the job. The job appeals to those who prefer straightforward, routine work that supports their local community and offers flexibility to balance other personal or professional commitments.
Ultimately, this opportunity suits individuals with their own open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently. It’s designed for those who value flexibility, are comfortable working outdoors, and want to make extra income without long commutes or extensive training. Valet Living proudly promotes a diverse workplace and provides an inclusive environment irrespective of race, gender, or other protected characteristics, underscoring their commitment to equal opportunity employment.
