Job Description

Valet Living is a dedicated service company specializing in residential doorstep trash and recycling collection for apartment communities, aiming to create cleaner, safer, and more comfortable living environments for residents. With a commitment to providing high-quality service, Valet Living operates in various locations across the United States, offering flexible, part-time employment opportunities that allow individuals to work local shifts with consistent hours. Their focus on community, safety, and employee satisfaction makes them a preferred choice for those looking for steady work close to home, especially for those seeking part-time evening roles. Valet Living emphasizes a positive company culture where employees are valued, safety is a priority, and career growth is encouraged, with many leadership positions filled through internal promotions.

The role of a Part-Time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of apartment communities by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling right from residents' doorsteps. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking for reliable evening work without the extensive travel often associated with waste collection jobs. Service Valets work within their local neighborhoods, servicing one or more apartment communities nearby, ensuring convenience and minimal commute time. The job requires the use of a personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to transport collected materials directly to on-site compactors, eliminating the need for long-distance driving or off-site dumping.

This part-time evening role typically involves working between 10 to 15 or more hours per week, primarily Sunday through Thursday evenings starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, with no weekend shifts required. The position's steady nature and predictable schedule make it an ideal option for those seeking supplemental income, perhaps as a second job alongside school, family responsibilities, or a full-time career. Valet Living offers competitive pay rates, including $20 per hour for truck operators and $18 per hour for helpers, along with fast daily pay through their DailyPay system. Employees are supported with a mobile app to check in, track work progress, and document tasks via photos, integrating technology to streamline operations and improve communication.

Physical activity is integral to this role, as the job entails walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, providing a healthy alternative to sedentary work environments. The company prioritizes safety by providing gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment, ensuring workers are well protected while performing their duties. Candidates must be independently motivated and able to follow a consistent routine to meet daily service commitments successfully.

Valet Living values diversity and inclusivity in its hiring process, welcoming applicants regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexuality, veteran status, or other protected classifications. The company is committed to equal opportunity employment and fosters a work environment where everyone can thrive. With a straightforward hiring process and quick start times, interested candidates can apply easily and begin earning supplemental income promptly while contributing to local neighborhood cleanliness and resident satisfaction.
