Job Description

Valet Living is a reputable service-oriented company dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and safety in apartment communities. With a commitment to providing efficient, reliable, and community-focused trash collection services, Valet Living specializes in doorstep trash and recycling collection to help keep neighborhoods inviting and clean. Valet Living has developed a strong presence in residential service management, focusing on creating a pleasant living environment for apartment residents while offering flexible employment opportunities. Their innovative approach includes utilizing technology like mobile apps for service tracking and scheduling to ensure a smooth and consistent workflow. This company is known for fostering a supportive work culture that promotes career advancement and values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The role available is for a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking reliable supplemental income with a consistent daytime schedule close to their homes. The job is specifically designed to avoid long-distance driving or off-site dumping, making it convenient and community-centric. Service Valets are assigned to local apartment communities where they collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps. This routine helps maintain a clean, safe, and appealing atmosphere in the neighborhoods they serve.

Service Valets play an important role in upholding the quality of life for apartment residents by providing dedicated and dependable doorstep trash collection. The position requires physical activity such as walking through apartment complexes, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Each workday involves using an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a utility trailer to transport the collected waste to the onsite compactor. The job does not include bulk item collection, long-distance transport, or off-site dumping, emphasizing a localized service approach.

Compensation varies depending on the equipment used, with those using an open-bed pickup truck earning $20 per hour and those using a vehicle with a trailer earning $17 per hour. The work schedule is typically 10-15 hours per week, primarily during the daytime, Monday through Thursday, after 8:00 AM, without weekend hours. This schedule is ideal for individuals balancing other commitments such as full-time jobs, school, or family.

Candidates must own the necessary vehicle setup—a truck with an open bed or an appropriate vehicle-trailer combination—and possess a valid driver's license with active auto insurance. Applicants should have a smartphone with a data plan to use the company’s app for checking in, tracking tasks, and communication. Valet Living values safety and provides safety equipment like gloves and vests to their Service Valets. Beyond the practical benefits of steady income and a local schedule, the role offers career growth possibilities, with many area leaders having been promoted from Service Valet positions. Referral bonuses and a fast hiring process add to the appeal of this role.

Service Valets experience a balance of physical activity, routine, and the satisfaction of making a visible difference in their communities, making this position rewarding for those who prefer active work environments and consistent scheduling.
