Job Description
Valet Living is a renowned company specializing in providing essential services to apartment communities, focusing on innovation, reliability, and community enhancement. Dedicated to improving the living environments within apartment complexes, Valet Living offers specialized services aimed at keeping these communities clean, safe, and inviting for their residents. As an industry leader, Valet Living is committed to fostering growth opportunities for its employees while maintaining a culture of respect and inclusivity. Operating primarily within residential apartment communities, the company is dedicated to providing not only top-tier services but also dependable employment opportunities that suit various lifestyles and schedules.
The role of Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as Service Valet, is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking reliable extra income with a flexible yet consistent daytime schedule. This position is tailored for those who prefer to work locally without the need for long-distance driving or off-site dumping. The work focuses on helping keep multiple apartment communities clean by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps and transporting these materials back to on-site compactors. The ideal candidate will have access to either an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of towing a trailer, ensuring they can efficiently complete their route within the local area assigned.
This part-time job typically offers 10-15+ hours per week with a schedule primarily from Sunday to Thursday, starting after 8:00 AM, making it an ideal fit for those balancing other jobs, education, or personal commitments. The pay rate varies depending on the vehicle used; $20 per hour for those with an open-bed pickup truck and $17 per hour for those who use a tow vehicle and trailer. Beyond financial benefits, Valet Living encourages a healthy work routine that involves walking, stair climbing, and working outdoors, fostering physical activity and engagement during working hours.
The role utilizes a mobile app for efficient communication, check-ins, work tracking, and reporting via photos, ensuring streamlined operations and a tech-friendly approach. Service Valets appreciate the community-centered essence of their work, directly impacting resident satisfaction by maintaining tidy, welcoming apartment environments. The company supports its employees with necessary safety equipment and emphasizes career development, with many leadership roles filled by promoting from within. The recruitment is ongoing, and Valet Living firmly stands as an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants regardless of their background or status. This job is not only a source of supplemental income but also a chance to contribute positively to local communities while enjoying a manageable and consistent work schedule close to home.
