Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service provider specializing in doorstep trash collection, committed to keeping apartment communities clean, safe, and comfortable for residents. Known for its innovative approach, Valet Living services numerous residential communities across the United States, delivering reliable and convenient waste removal directly from residents' doorsteps. This unique service model reduces waste buildup in common areas and enhances the living experience for apartment residents. As a dynamic company, Valet Living prioritizes employee well-being and offers opportunities for steady part-time employment and career growth within the company.
This listing is for the role of a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, who performs doorstep trash and recycling collection services within designated local apartment communities. This position is ideal for individuals seeking additional income, steady evening hours, and reliable part-time employment close to home without the need for long-distance driving or off-site dumping. This role notably requires the use of a personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to efficiently service assigned apartment communities. The position offers roughly 10-15 hours of work weekly, mostly scheduled Monday through Friday with shifts in the evenings that provide a structured yet flexible schedule to accommodate other commitments such as full-time jobs, education, or family.
Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of apartment communities by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents' doorsteps and directly transporting it to onsite compactors. Responsibilities include frequent walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, making the job physically engaging and active. The company leverages technology through a mobile app that Valets use to check in, track their work, and document service with photos. Compensation for this role is competitive, with a truck pay rate of $17 per hour and additional benefits such as fast daily pay via DailyPay, no weekend work, and assignments that are always local to the employee’s residence.
Valet Living fosters a positive working environment that values diversity and promotes inclusivity. It supports employees with essential personal protective equipment including gloves and safety vests. The company also encourages career advancement, with half of its Area Leader positions filled through internal promotions, reflecting a strong commitment to employee development. Additionally, referral bonuses provide opportunities for extra earnings by recommending others to join the team. Overall, this part-time role offers the perfect balance of flexibility, physical activity, steady hours, and supplemental income for individuals seeking a valuable and community-oriented second job close to home.
