Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities by providing essential doorstep trash and recycling collection services. Specializing in property care and community cleanliness, Valet Living partners with numerous apartment complexes to maintain hygienic, safe, and welcoming environments for residents across various locations. The company prides itself on delivering reliable and consistent service through dedicated personnel known as Service Valets, who play a vital role in supporting property management teams and improving resident satisfaction. Valet Living operates with a focus on community engagement, environmental responsibility, and dependable employment opportunities ideal for individuals seeking part-time, flexible, and locally-based work schedules.
This particular role is for a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, who will be instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of local apartment communities each evening. This position offers a consistent, reliable evening schedule ideal for candidates seeking supplemental income, second jobs, or steady part-time hours close to home. The primary responsibility involves collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents' doorsteps and transporting these materials to on-site compactors using either an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle capable of towing a utility trailer. Unlike many waste collection jobs, this role requires no long-distance driving or off-site dumping, focusing exclusively on local assignments within an apartment community near the Service Valet’s residence.
Service Valets will work predominantly Sunday through Thursday evenings with shifts beginning after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, offering a great opportunity for individuals who prefer to keep their daytime hours free. The role encourages physical activity by involving walking, stair climbing, and occasional outdoor work in all types of weather, which can be appealing for those who enjoy staying active. This is not a typical desk job; instead, it promotes movement and engagement with the local community. Additionally, the job leverages mobile technology, requiring the use of a smartphone app for check-ins, work tracking, and documentation via photos when necessary.
Pay rates for this role vary based on the equipment used, with a higher rate of $18 per hour for those using an open-bed pickup truck and $16 per hour for those operating a tow vehicle with a utility trailer. The position typically guarantees 10 to 15 or more hours per week, providing both financial stability and predictability. Valet Living also offers a streamlined hiring process, enabling candidates to get started quickly and enjoy fast payment options through DailyPay. The company values safety and provides personal protective equipment such as gloves and safety vests to all Service Valets. This role is especially attractive to individuals looking to maintain a work-life balance, with no weekend hours, reliable scheduling, and work assignments close to their homes.
The company prioritizes equal opportunity and inclusivity, embracing diversity in its workforce and promoting career growth from within. Many Area Leaders started as Service Valets, highlighting the potential for advancement. Valet Living also encourages employee referrals, offering bonuses as incentives for team growth. This role is perfect for self-motivated individuals who can work independently following a consistent routine while contributing positively to their local community. If you own the required equipment, have a valid driver’s license, and meet the physical demands of the job, this opportunity provides an excellent way to earn extra income while staying active and engaged in your neighborhood.
