Aramark Healthcare is a trusted partner in healthcare food and nutrition services, recognized for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and support for health and wellness initiatives. Our company prides itself on delivering high-quality nutrition and food services that enhance patient satisfaction and improve clinical outcomes within healthcare facilities across multiple regions.
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Lake Pointe, founded in 1987, has developed into a prominent 148-bed acute care hospital in Rowlett, Texas. The hospital employs over 500 physicians and offers an extensive array of specialized medical services, such as an intensive care unit, women’s healthcare services, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), interventional cardiology, robotic-assisted surgery, orthopedic care, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, and urology. As part of such a comprehensive healthcare environment, the Clinical Dietitian position plays a crucial role in delivering effective nutritional care to patients, contributing to their recovery and overall well-being.
The role of the Clinical Dietitian at Aramark Healthcare is designed for skilled professionals who want to maintain and expand their clinical expertise in nutrition while supporting a diverse patient population. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule with work primarily on Thursdays along with rotating weekend coverage, providing a great balance between professional growth and personal life. Working part-time in this capacity allows dietitians to keep their inpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) skills sharp while also exploring opportunities in outpatient settings. Additionally, this position enables clinicians to engage with new departments and a variety of disease states, expanding their knowledge base and advancing their nutrition career.
Clinical Dietitians with Aramark take on the responsibility of assessing patients’ nutritional status and developing individualized nutrition care plans tailored to their unique medical conditions, histories, and current health situations. The role requires providing hands-on education and counseling to patients and their families about proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and sustainable eating habits. The dietitian collaborates closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to develop and implement best practices and clinical protocols to ensure optimal nutrition care.
A strong emphasis is placed on monitoring patient progress, evaluating the effectiveness of nutritional interventions, and adjusting care plans as necessary to meet evolving patient needs. Staying informed on the latest research and advancements in clinical nutrition is vital for driving evidence-based practices within the healthcare setting. Working at Aramark also means being part of an organization that values continuous skill development and recognizes the importance of adaptability in meeting patient and organizational needs.
This part-time role is ideal for dietitians who are passionate about improving patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition care, and who seek a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth. Aramark Healthcare offers a rewarding workplace culture where you can make a meaningful difference every day by helping patients achieve their nutrition goals and enhance their health status. Whether you are licensed and experienced or a Registered Dietitian Eligible (RD Eligible) candidate, this position invites you to contribute to a dynamic and compassionate healthcare team.
