The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting vehicles and work areas upon completion of all reconditioning work, ensuring that every vehicle meets or exceeds the set standards before being delivered or put up for sale. The duties include cleaning the interiors by removing debris, trash, and personal effects, as well as washing and detailing the vehicle's exterior. This involves tasks such as washing vehicles using high-pressure washers, cleaning engine compartments, battery terminals, and polishing various vehicle components including door jambs, wheels, tires, bumpers, lights, and windows. The role also involves buffing vehicles, applying compounds and polishes, vacuuming interiors, shampooing and spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery, and maintaining the organization of vehicle manuals and warranty booklets.
In addition to these responsibilities, this role emphasizes safety compliance with all organizational and legal requirements, actively promoting safety excellence by modeling safe behaviors and following all health and safety procedures diligently. The position may also require occasional driving of vehicles within the facility, ensuring proper vehicle staging and readiness for sale or customer pickup. This is a part-time position with flexible work schedules, offering hours primarily concentrated from Monday to Thursday, with options for Friday work as well. The hourly pay ranges from $13.70 to $20.53, depending on location, experience, and skills, and may include other compensation opportunities like commissions or incentive programs.
Working at Cox comes with benefits that include health care insurance covering medical, dental, and vision, retirement planning options through a 401(k) program, and paid time off including sick leave, parental leave, flexible vacation, wellness days, and PTO.
