The role of a Flowerama delivery driver is critical as they act as the face of the company when making deliveries. This position requires adherence to the company's mission by providing friendly, efficient, organized, and timely delivery services to Flowerama customers and ensuring their products reach the intended recipients in perfect condition. Delivery drivers operate trademarked vans and are responsible for maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and ensuring that it is well-maintained with regular checks on fuel and fluids, as well as meticulous record-keeping in the maintenance log.

Additionally, drivers must be physically capable of lifting and transporting products weighing up to 60 pounds unassisted and can work in a variety of environmental conditions, including temperatures as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit inside walk-in coolers. They are expected to have excellent command of the English language, be able to write legibly, and deliver all products with pride and respect. Timeliness and respect for traffic laws are mandatory, as is compliance with the Flowerama Dress Code Policy, which requires a neat personal appearance and wearing professional attire supplied by the company.

Delivery hours vary, with operations occurring seven days a week based on a posted schedule. Part-time drivers must be available to cover for absent colleagues and meet additional delivery needs, and all drivers work until the last delivery has been completed each day. Drivers will learn and adhere to proper care and handling procedures, use the complete trip sheet and delivery confirmation functions on the BMS computer system, mark delivery times, and recipient names, as well as document reasons for any undeliverable items.

Drivers also maintain communication with their supervisors and the store throughout their shifts, including hourly check-ins to assess delivery needs and before store closing to update on next-day and timed deliveries. Beyond delivery responsibilities, drivers have secondary duties such as changing marquees, transferring products between stores, pricing products, cleaning, unloading trucks, and assisting with seasonal shipments. These diverse responsibilities ensure smooth store operations and enhance the overall customer experience at Flowerama.
