The Cleaner position being offered is a part-time role that plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas. This role requires someone who is dedicated to ensuring that spaces remain sanitary and orderly, contributing not only to the aesthetic appeal but also to the overall health and safety of the environment. Working primarily on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm with an hour lunch break, the Cleaner is responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties to uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities for the Cleaner include routine trash collection, wiping down tables and seats, promptly addressing spills, cleaning restrooms including toilets, sinks, and countertops, restocking essential supplies such as toilet tissue and paper towels, and sweeping and mopping floors. Additionally, the role involves policing the outside areas for trash to maintain a presentable exterior. The Cleaner also follows stringent procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment ensuring no damage is caused to floors or fixtures. The role promotes vigilance as the Cleaner is expected to notify management concerning the need for any minor or major repairs or additions to the building’s operating systems.

Effective communication and teamwork are also critical components of this role. The Cleaner must establish and maintain professional and cooperative relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers. Compliance with safety, security, and quality standards set by both the company and regulatory authorities is mandatory ensuring a safe working environment. Duties extend beyond basic cleaning to include dusting furniture, fixtures, floors, walls, and equipment; moving furniture or equipment when necessary to clean thoroughly; cleaning glass surfaces such as interior partitions and windows; washing and replacing blinds; emptying trash receptacles, and ensuring food areas are clean and sanitized.
