The current opportunity is for a part-time Day Porter and Custodian/CSR to join SBM's growing team. This position is indispensable in upholding the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facilities, ensuring a pristine and professional atmosphere at all times. The role entails performing a variety of custodial duties such as floor care which includes vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting, surface care like dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning glass or metal surfaces, as well as waste removal by emptying trash and recycling bins and properly disposing of waste. Additionally, the Day Porter may be responsible for light maintenance tasks including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply areas.

Apart from physical duties, the Custodian/CSR must demonstrate excellent customer service capabilities, as they often interact with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers. Effective communication skills, the ability to follow detailed instructions, and good judgment in decision-making are crucial aspects of the role. The position calls for an individual who can work well both independently and as part of a team, and who maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Safety compliance is a top priority; hence, employees must adhere strictly to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.

This part-time position offers competitive compensation, with hourly wages ranging from $16.15 to $17.15 per hour. The work schedule is from Saturday to Monday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a balanced workweek for those needing flexibility. Candidates should possess reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license if they will be driving a company or personal vehicle during work hours. Bilingual skills are considered a plus but are not mandatory.
