This part-time Cashier/Customer Service Associate role at Harris Teeter involves a variety of responsibilities dedicated to ensuring each customer's needs are met and their expectations exceeded during every visit. The primary responsibility of this position is to take excellent care of customers by accurately and efficiently operating the cash register, providing various services at the customer service counter, and maintaining security and control of all funds. Employees in this position are expected to be adaptable, capable of switching between roles to support daily store operations effectively.

The job requires competence in handling simple mathematical calculations related to transactions, such as adding, subtracting, and calculating discounts, as well as the ability to comprehend and communicate using English. Occasionally, they might need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch and lift or move items weighing up to 40 pounds. The work environment occasionally exposes employees to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and extreme cold, though the noise level is generally moderate.
