The role primarily focuses on taking excellent care of customers by fulfilling their requirements, surpassing their expectations, and ensuring that each shopping visit is both pleasant and satisfying. This requires accurately and efficiently operating the cash register, providing various services at the customer service counter, and maintaining security and control of all funds handled. Associates may also be assigned responsibilities such as floor monitoring when no floor monitor is on duty, as well as performing cashier and bagger duties when appropriate. Furthermore, employees must complete company-required training programs including new hire orientation, customer service network training, safety protocols, and specific technical skills for cashiering and floor monitoring. Job Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and smell
Occasionally able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds
Ability to reach from 6 to 48 inches regularly and from 6 to 72 inches occasionally
Ability to see close vision, color and depth perception
Ability to work in environments occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold
Ability to deal with moderate noise levels
Willingness to participate in required training and work cooperatively with team members

Job Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
Ability to write simple correspondence in English
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and calculate discount percentages
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

Job Duties
