Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid food handler's permit or certification
- prior cooking or culinary experience preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous cooking or culinary experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar environment preferred
- basic knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety practices
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- availability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler's Permit/certification required (must obtain prior to start)
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate food items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and Hilton brand guidelines
- support breakfast buffet, made-to-order stations, and banquet/event dining
- ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with local health and safety regulations
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, and equipment
- assist with inventory control by minimizing waste and properly storing products
- follow all Hilton service standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- communicate effectively with fellow team members, servers, and management to ensure smooth service
- adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
