Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid food handler's permit or certification
  • prior cooking or culinary experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cooking or culinary experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar environment preferred
  • basic knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety practices
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • availability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler's Permit/certification required (must obtain prior to start)

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and plate food items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and Hilton brand guidelines
  • support breakfast buffet, made-to-order stations, and banquet/event dining
  • ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with local health and safety regulations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, and equipment
  • assist with inventory control by minimizing waste and properly storing products
  • follow all Hilton service standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • communicate effectively with fellow team members, servers, and management to ensure smooth service
  • adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
