Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to participate in full training program
- Pass background checks and comply with drug-free workplace policies
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to cooking
- Commitment to working in a senior living community and demonstrating compassion
- Flexible, energetic, and personable attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience preparing food from scratch or equivalent preferred
- Ability to adapt meals to meet senior dietary needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Professionalism and a calm demeanor in stressful situations
Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to senior-specific menus
- Present and serve meals in a courteous and timely manner
- Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas
- Store food safely and appropriately
- Adapt menus and food preparation based on resident needs and preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent resident dining experiences
