Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four plus years of professional kitchen experience
  • Valid California Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings and evenings
  • Physical capability to carry lift push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend and stoop regularly
  • Familiarity with operating grills ovens and stovetops
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Four plus years of professional kitchen experience including hot line, cold station, and pizza prep
  • Expertise in cooking proteins to precise temperatures such as meat and fish
  • Strong knife skills and butchery knowledge
  • Valid California Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to multitask and maintain quality in high-volume settings
  • Open availability for AM and PM shifts

Job Duties

  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including proper uniform
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation according to hotel standards
  • Comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers Safety
  • Prepare food items according to guest orders with consistent quality, recipe adherence, and presentation standards
  • Start and prepare food items ahead of time without exceeding estimated needs
  • Maintain kitchen line stations to prepare food efficiently and productively
  • Prepare food for banquets according to Banquet Event Orders
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed during shift
  • Practice safe work habits to prevent injury
