Club Louie's at the Westlake Village Inn & Spa is an upscale lounge and nightlife destination known for its breathtaking lakefront views, live entertainment, and an unforgettable guest experience. We are currently seeking a skilled Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at Club Louie's. This part-time role offers an hourly pay range of $22.00 to $24.00 and provides an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-standard environments. The Cook position at Club Louie’s involves a blend of creativity, precision, and passion for food preparation. Successful candidates will work diligently to deliver top-tier cuisine that not only meets but exceeds hotel standards, contributing to the exceptional dining experience that our guests expect.
As a Cook at Club Louie's, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. The kitchen environment is active and demanding, with an expectation for multitasking and adherence to recipes and safety practices. This position requires a deep understanding of food preparation methods, ingredient usage, and the safe operation of kitchen equipment. The ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent hygiene and grooming standards is a key part of the role. Your responsibilities will include preparing food items per guest orders, ensuring portions and presentations are consistent, and operating various kitchen appliances such as broilers, ovens, deep fryers, and mixers.
The position also entails preparing items for banquets and special events according to detailed banquet event orders, reflecting a need for accuracy and teamwork. Candidates should be experienced in cooking proteins to precise temperatures and have strong knife skills and butchery knowledge. Holding a valid California Food Handler's Card is mandatory, reflecting commitment to food safety and compliance with health regulations. Physical stamina is required, as the job involves carrying, lifting, bending, and working with hot kitchen equipment during shift hours that may cover both morning and evening availability.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four plus years of professional kitchen experience
- Valid California Food Handler's Card
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings and evenings
- Physical capability to carry lift push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend and stoop regularly
- Familiarity with operating grills ovens and stovetops
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Four plus years of professional kitchen experience including hot line, cold station, and pizza prep
- Expertise in cooking proteins to precise temperatures such as meat and fish
- Strong knife skills and butchery knowledge
- Valid California Food Handler's Card
- Ability to multitask and maintain quality in high-volume settings
- Open availability for AM and PM shifts
Job Duties
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including proper uniform
- Have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation according to hotel standards
- Comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers Safety
- Prepare food items according to guest orders with consistent quality, recipe adherence, and presentation standards
- Start and prepare food items ahead of time without exceeding estimated needs
- Maintain kitchen line stations to prepare food efficiently and productively
- Prepare food for banquets according to Banquet Event Orders
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist with cleaning and organizing kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed during shift
- Practice safe work habits to prevent injury
