Job Requirements
- Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
- Ensure the kitchen remains well-stocked at all times
- Receive food and beverage orders as needed
- Follow provided brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests
- Prepare and plate all food items on the menu
- Use hot food preparation machines such as ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food
- Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each service
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Flexible scheduling availability
Job Qualifications
- Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Basic knowledge of how to operate all food and beverage equipment
