Job Description
Legend Senior Living is a well-established family business with over 30 years of experience in providing exceptional senior living communities. Recognized with prestigious awards such as Great Place To Work for eight consecutive years, Best of Senior Living Award, and accolades for innovative programming in senior living, Legend Senior Living is committed to delivering the highest standards of service, care, and environment for its residents. The company is devoted to creating elegant, supportive communities where residents enjoy a holistic approach to wellness, enriched dining experiences, and vibrant life enrichment activities. As a leader in senior living, Legend Senior Living continues to expand by adding multiple properties each year, fostering growth and opportunity within the organization for its associates.
The Part-time Cook role at Legend Senior Living offers a unique and rewarding opportunity for culinary professionals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior residents. This position emphasizes a satisfying work-life balance by catering to an early dining schedule, eliminating late-night shifts and providing a family-friendly working environment. As part of the culinary team, you will help create nourishing meals from scratch using fresh ingredients, contributing to the renowned Gold Leaf Dining experience that sets high standards for meal quality and atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include preparing menu meals, assisting with service, maintaining cleanliness and safety in production areas, and accommodating special dietary requests to meet resident needs.
This position fosters a positive and supportive workplace culture where associates are valued and given numerous growth opportunities. Legend Senior Living invests in its employees through a suite of non-medical benefits, including a discretionary scholarship program, annual performance evaluations, and potential raises. Additional incentives include employee referral bonuses, recognition programs such as Employee of the Month or Year, and rewards linked to resident tours and move-ins. The company also prioritizes associate support with resources like work friend trainers, employee assistance programs, crisis care assistance, paid-time-off donations, continuing education opportunities, and family member discounts.
Working at Legend Senior Living means joining a team that is dedicated to maximizing the potential of every individual. You will contribute not only to culinary excellence but also to creating a warm, engaging atmosphere that enhances the quality of life for residents. If you are organized, flexible, self-motivated, and passionate about providing high-level culinary service in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect part-time opportunity for you. The role may require evening or weekend shifts and is located in a drug-free workplace where screening may be conducted at management's discretion. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, welcoming candidates who are eager to grow professionally and make an impactful difference through their culinary skills.
