Job Description
Cottonwood Manor Assisted Living is a dedicated senior living community committed to providing compassionate and personalized care for older adults. As part of The Pennant Group, Inc., a holding company that operates a network of home health, hospice, and senior living services throughout the United States, Cottonwood Manor focuses on creating a supportive environment where residents' needs are met with dignity and respect. The community operates under the guidance of its CAPLICO Core Values, which emphasize Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First), and Ownership. These values are foundational in shaping the culture at Cottonwood Manor and empower employees to contribute positively to resident care and overall community well-being.
Cottonwood Manor is currently seeking a Part-Time Cook to join its team. This role is scheduled every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 AM to 3 PM. The position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about serving nutritious and well-prepared meals while positively impacting the lives of seniors. The role demands not only cooking expertise but also a commitment to the community's core values and a proactive approach to teamwork and service excellence.
As a Part-Time Cook at Cottonwood Manor, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, timely, and friendly service of meals to residents and staff. You will maintain high standards of food sanitation and safety, prepare meals according to established recipes to ensure consistency, and assist in meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations. Your duties will include ordering, receiving, and rotating stock in collaboration with the Food Service Director and preparing meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned. The position requires knowledge of special dietary needs typical of senior populations, the ability to multitask effectively, and strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, embraces continuous learning, and is ready to take ownership of their responsibilities without requiring constant supervision. Applicants should be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and willing to undergo or hold Serv-Safe certification to ensure compliance with all food safety standards. Cottonwood Manor values individuals who can handle customer complaints or conflicts professionally and who are dedicated to upholding the community's established quality standards.
Working at Cottonwood Manor offers the rewarding experience of making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, their families, and the larger community. It is an environment that values employees first and recognizes that their satisfaction and engagement directly influence the quality of care provided. If you share the CAPLICO Core Values and have the necessary cooking skills and certifications, this position offers a fulfilling pathway to join a respected assisted living community that prioritizes heartfelt service and operational excellence.
