The role of a Part-Time Cook at Legend Senior Living plays a crucial part in delivering this premium experience. As a member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing nourishing meals from scratch using fresh ingredients to meet the dietary needs of residents. This position involves adhering to the Gold Leaf Dining experience, which is distinguished by excellent food quality and a welcoming atmosphere. The cook will provide hands-on assistance with special meal requests, maintain cleanliness and safety in production and service areas, and ensure compliance with all food service standards. This role is designed to offer a satisfying work-life balance with no late-night shifts as the residents prefer to dine early. Job Duties

  • Providing hands-on assistance with the dietary needs of the residents and fulfilling special meal requests when needed
  • Preparing meals from the menu plan and assisting with the service of the meals
  • Maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas
  • Inspecting work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
  • Following safe work procedures to include injury prevention, food safety, and infection control
  • Properly labeling and dating all food in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage
