Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including early morning and evening shifts
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Ability to physically perform the duties of the cook position
- Willingness to adhere to PHS’s faith-based and community-centered values
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations
- Strong food service operations experience preferred
- Demonstrated alignment with PHS mission and values
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to effectively communicate
- Experience working in senior living or healthcare dining services is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve attractive and nutritious meals consistent with established policies and best practices
- Ensure compliance with state and federal food handling regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas
- Collaborate with team members to support positive dining experiences
- Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist in menu planning and special dietary accommodations
