The role available at Heritage Oaks Hospital is a part-time Cook position, requiring 24 hours of work per week. The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for both patients and staff, following the approved menu cycle and production sheets. This role demands compliance with facility and departmental policies related to food services, including strict adherence to recipes and cleaning schedules to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. The Cook will open and organize the kitchen daily, ensuring meal preparation aligns with the highest standards of nutrition and presentation. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum two years experience in quantity cooking
- knowledge of modified diets
- training in food service sanitation
- food service sanitation certificate
- experience with industrial kitchen equipment and utensils
- CPR certification

Job Duties
- open the kitchen and ensure organization of daily events
- follow menus and recipes as provided by the Director of Dietary
- prepare meals and beverages according to menu cycle and daily production sheet, providing attention to attractive and tasteful meals
- comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services
- follow posted cleaning schedule and ensure a clean work area and dining room at all times
- prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff
- utilize industrial kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently
