Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton, located at 1700 Tysons Blvd, McLean, Virginia, is a world-renowned luxury hotel brand under the umbrella of Marriott International, one of the largest and most respected hospitality companies worldwide. Known for delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences, The Ritz-Carlton prides itself on maintaining its status as a leader in luxury hospitality through a commitment to quality, personalized care, and innovative guest services. The hotel offers a sophisticated environment, blending elegance with comfort in a prime location, attracting discerning travelers from around the globe. As part of Marriott International's portfolio, The Ritz-Carlton benefits from a robust global network, advanced training programs, and a corporate culture that emphasizes respect, diversity, and professional growth.

The position available is a part-time, non-management role focused on rooms and guest services operations. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of guest service the brand is known for. The core responsibility revolves around engaging with hotel guests in the lobby area to enhance their visit through the activation of all outlet services available to them, including the restaurant, bar, front desk, business center, and lounge. The role demands a proactive approach to guest service by responding to and fulfilling guest requests, whether for special arrangements such as transportation or reservations or catering to unique guest needs. The successful candidate will actively collect, summarize, and share knowledge about local amenities, events, and activities to enrich the guest experience.

This role also involves coordinating with various departments, such as bellperson services, housekeeping, and food and beverage servers, to respond promptly to guest needs and resolve any issues. The ideal candidate will contribute to the safety and wellbeing of the hotel environment by reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions while adhering strictly to company policies, safety regulations, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. The position requires an individual who presents themselves well, possesses excellent communication skills, and can uphold the Ritz-Carlton's celebrated Gold Standards daily. Although supervisory experience is not required, prior experience in a comparable guest service or hospitality setting is preferred.

Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a team dedicated to luxury hospitality excellence and inclusivity, fostering a respectful and diverse workplace. Employees are encouraged and empowered to be creative, thoughtful, and compassionate, ensuring the hotel remains a leader in its field while employees find pride and purpose in their work and professional development. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates seeking to thrive in a supportive, globally recognized luxury brand while delivering exceptional service as part of a dynamic team.
