Since its founding in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients with a diverse range of services that cover janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscape and turf, and mission-critical solutions. The company's mission is to drive a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable world by offering essential services and innovative performance solutions that enhance the environments where people live, work, and play. ABM's clientele ranges from commercial office buildings to universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and more. An employer with annualized revenue nearing eight billion dollars and a workforce exceeding 100,000 team members, ABM fosters a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity, welcoming qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, or veteran status. ABM also proudly supports veterans by offering post-military career opportunities and access to world-class training programs.
The CDL Shuttle Driver position with ABM involves transporting passengers safely and efficiently within the UPS World Port facility. This role requires operating a 40-passenger shuttle bus in a secure, high-traffic environment that includes other moving vehicles and aircraft, making safety, alertness, and operational excellence top priorities. The CDL Shuttle Driver is responsible for following strict safety and operational protocols, including pre- and post-inspection of the shuttle to comply with Department of Transportation standards and ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. The driver is charged with transporting passengers to designated pick-up and drop-off locations within the facility, ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures, and assisting passengers with special needs using specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts and tie-downs. Customer service is paramount, as the driver represents ABM and UPS to guests and visitors.
In addition to driving duties, the position requires maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by disinfecting the shuttle after each use and refueling the vehicle as needed. The CDL Shuttle Driver must also be prepared to execute and enforce the evacuation plan of the bus in emergencies and promptly report any incidents or claims to supervisory staff. This role is suitable for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, with minimal educational requirements and a focus on practical experience. ABM encourages applicants with military backgrounds, aligning with military occupational specialty codes relevant to transportation and shuttle driving. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a leading company committed to safety, quality, and sustainability, backed by comprehensive employee benefits.
