Job Requirements

class A CDL license or class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
ability to pass MVR screen
ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
must be 21 years of age
ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred

Job Duties

provides SMART customer service at all times through execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessary
demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
communicates information regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs
contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with truck drivers
plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule to ensure on-time delivery
pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload
inspects condition of products before loading for delivery or assisting customer
matches items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers
ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with Department of Transportation regulations
updates delivery and route status on system for tracking purposes
unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
verifies daily vehicle inspections and ensures cleanliness and maintenance of delivery vehicles and equipment
completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and CDL compliance
detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks and reports promptly
ensures compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain store cleanliness and organization
maintains a safe and secure work environment by conducting daily safety reviews and adhering to safety protocols
operates store equipment as needed per role and department
performs other duties as assigned
