Job Qualifications

  • General knowledge at the high school level
  • 1 year of food service supervisory experience
  • Food Safety (ServSafe Manager) certification within 180 days from date of hire
  • Knowledge of institutional food preparation equipment operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge and practice of department standards for personal hygiene, health and safety, and uniform wear
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes, worksheets, and menus
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide direction to part-time staff
  • Provide exceptional guest service and oversee the execution of events
  • Work with Catering Area Manager and Catering Managers on inventory control, guest service, and coordination of special events and conferences
  • Assist with brand management
  • Represent Catering management team in absence of Catering Manager or Assistant Managers
  • Work alongside front-line staff to meet operational needs during short staffing or high volume periods
  • May include people leadership, event management, purchasing or production as needed
