The Store Team Member role in Abilene, TX, focuses on delivering exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers throughout the store and ensuring a positive retail experience. This position involves helping customers locate products, providing solutions, and engaging them in company programs such as the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. The role requires a friendly demeanor during checkout, handling cash transactions accurately, and maintaining store standards by participating in stocking, unloading, and merchandise recovery activities. Additionally, team members support omnichannel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), helping to bridge the gap between digital and physical retail. The position demands active engagement with the store environment, requiring physical stamina for tasks such as lifting heavy boxes, using ladders, and standing for extended periods. By adhering to company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety initiatives, the Store Team Member ensures a compliant, efficient, and welcoming shopping experience. Job Requirements

  • At least 16 years of age
  • ability to remain standing for long periods
  • ability to move throughout the store
  • regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
  • compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as scheduled

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
  • provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
  • execute cash handling to standards
  • engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
  • participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
  • complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery
  • perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance
  • interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner
  • cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
  • other duties as assigned
