This part-time position is centered on delivering outstanding customer service by addressing each customer's needs, exceeding their expectations, and ensuring every shopping visit is enjoyable and satisfying. The role requires following proper bagging procedures, providing carryout and parcel pickup services, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts to the store. It is a physically active job that demands regular standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and occasionally stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The job environment may expose employees to wet or humid conditions, mechanical parts, and occasional airborne particles or extreme cold.
Successful candidates will participate in comprehensive training programs covering new hire orientation, customer service, safety, bagging technical skills, and product knowledge. The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to read and write simple English instructions and correspondence, and basic mathematical abilities such as adding and subtracting two-digit numbers. Reasoning skills to follow written or oral instructions and to address straightforward problems are equally important.
