This role at SCHEELS focuses on retail sales and customer interaction within a dynamic and engaging environment. As part of the sales team, you will greet customers warmly as they enter and exit, assist in promoting the Scheels Visa Rewards card by clearly articulating its benefits, and ensure accuracy when balancing the cash drawer at the end of the day. Maintaining a clean and professional work environment is critical, as is engaging with customers to add a personal touch to each transaction. Every interaction concludes with a courteous thank you, reflecting the company’s commitment to exceptional customer service.
The position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, close attention to detail, and problem-solving aptitude. Associates demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement while fostering a positive team atmosphere, exercising good judgment and tact when dealing with customers or coworkers. Additionally, the role demands basic mathematical skills, such as computing rates, ratios, and percentages, along with reading, writing, and comprehension of simple instructions and correspondence.
Associates must be adaptable and prepared to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with an average of 15-25 hours per week. Availability for a minimum of two weekends per month is required. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience

Job Duties
- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and be able to clearly explain all benefits
- accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
