Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English
  • Must complete all required company training
  • Able to follow safety and food handling protocols
  • Reliable and punctual with ability to notify supervisor two hours before shift if late or absent

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English
  • Effective presentation skills in English for one-on-one and small group communication
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and work with American money and weight measurements
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to routine written or oral instructions
  • Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge

Job Duties

  • Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
  • Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to fresh foods standards
  • Provide customer service by engaging proactively and responding to inquiries
  • Clean work areas, including prep rooms and coolers, to maintain sanitation standards
  • Unload stock deliveries and reload salvage products according to standards
  • Bake, decorate bakery items, and create party trays following recipes and customer specifications
  • Operate equipment to prepare and portion products precisely
  • Communicate effectively with customers and associates regarding products and promotions
  • Follow food safety policies and comply with department standards
  • Keep shelves stocked, block products to maximize sales, and process close-dated or damaged goods
  • Maintain merchandising displays and prepare daily samples
  • Inform management of any inventory, pricing, or display issues
  • Assist in inventory and price change processes
  • Follow all safety regulations and report hazards or accidents promptly
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and perform multiple tasks as needed
  • Support fellow associates by assisting with daily operational tasks
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards consistently
