Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Clear communication skills in English
- Ability to follow company policies and safety procedures
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to notify supervisor in advance in case of lateness or absence
- Willingness to participate in training and development
- Ability to handle shifting priorities and multitask
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to use food preparation equipment safely
- Understanding of food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience or training preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and adapt to changing environments
- Willingness to complete required company training programs
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety regulations

Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to fresh foods standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers, answering questions, and fulfilling requests
- Keep work areas clean and compliant with health and sanitation standards
- Unload stock and reload salvage products according to company guidelines
- Prepare bakery items and other fresh products by following recipes and quality standards
- Operate equipment safely to prepare and portion products
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and fellow associates
- Maintain proper merchandising and ensure timely restocking of shelves
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Assist in inventory and price change processes
- Report accidents and safety hazards promptly
- Adapt to shifting priorities and cooperate with team members to complete daily tasks
- Represent Harris Teeter with professionalism and positive attitude
- Comply with company standards, policies, and procedures throughout shifts
