The role of a Part-Time Cafe Ambassador at Capital One is pivotal for the company’s mission to make financial freedom accessible to all. As a Cafe Ambassador, you will be the face of Capital One, creating memorable experiences while fostering a welcoming environment for all visitors. This position is ideal for an outgoing, self-driven individual who thrives on building connections and values teamwork and problem-solving. In this role, you will engage with customers daily, introducing them to Capital One’s innovative services and products, assisting with technology challenges, and facilitating deeper conversations about financial literacy. Beyond customer interaction, the role involves partnering with local businesses and community organizations to plan and participate in events that promote financial education. Capital One emphasizes not only excellent service but continuous learning and growth, encouraging ambassadors to develop new digital skills and pursue self-improvement. The part-time position offers a competitive salary, with annualized pay for Boston-based ambassadors ranging from $52,624 to $57,408 (prorated based on hours worked), and a comprehensive benefits program designed to support employee well-being, flexibility, and career advancement within the company.

Job Requirements

high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
at least 1 year of retail, sales or customer service experience
associate’s degree preferred
2+ years of retail or customer-facing experience preferred
proficient in G-Suite preferred
strong written and oral communication skills preferred

Job Duties

bring the Cafe experience and our brand to life by helping to create an inclusive environment where all customers and team members feel welcome
proactively engage with customers and the community in all areas of the Cafe whether you’re helping people with tech challenges, showing off our cool services and products, or having deeper conversations about their financial journeys
guide customers through goal setting by meeting them where they are and advocating for better financial literacy through discovery and Capital One resources
be a team player and work with an energized team of Ambassadors helping to inspire teammates as they inspire you
stay curious, adaptable and have a desire to learn and grow through self development
continually learn new digital and technical skills
partner with local businesses, nonprofits, charities, and the Engagement team to plan events both inside and outside of the Cafe
volunteer within the community and be an advocate for financial literacy
